So, did anyone else wake up with the craziest headache and flashforward two days or was that just me? Now, there likely isn't any definite way to know what happened between the days that were missed and a reason may never come. So, lets play scientists and theorize.

Mine?

[Get ready for this folks.]

We all came together and had the most amazing party. [He speaks in a deadpanned voice, indicating a level of ~serious business~ for the hell of it. Spoken like a true scientist.] A party that was so incredible, it defied any level of reality that we can imagine. I know that sounds illogical, but just think about where we are? Basic logic has no grounds here because what is defied as logical is different depending on what universe you come from. Therefore, the party we all had could only be defined as beyond any logic that we, as a collective village, can grasp. This means that anything that happened at this party may also defy logic and once logic is discarded, we can fully determine that this party was absolutely the best party of all time.

The end result? We didn't blackout for a couple days. No, no. Ladies and gentlemen, we time traveled to January 28th. That is how amazing our party was. The laws of reality in this world had to move us two calendar days to compensate for the magnitude of what we experienced. If we weren't moved over by two days I fear that the world, nay, the universe may have been damaged from the sheer force of our partying.

In order to confirm this, please submit a rating of how wiped out you feel from a scale of 1 to 10. I'm a solid 6, teetering on 7 to 8.

[This is incredibly serious business.]

[Action: Gangland]

[Wow, for once he feels like he's back at home. Not exactly so, but it's close enough for him. He'll get into the spirit, wearing one of his brown suits and matching fedora, and even bring out a cigar. In short - positively ridiculous. Even he knows it, but he doesn't care. He likes blending and frankly it makes him feel a little home sick even.

Oh, but the most fun will come when he learns that this is prohibition era. The time of no legalized drinking for anyone. Oh the days of his youth. So for extra fun he decides to take a beer from the grocery store stocks and watch the reactions all the gangland NPCs give him when he dares to drink in public, utterly amused by all the shocked faces and gasps he will get when the Gangland NPCs realize he is drinking alcohol oh god oh man oh god oh man.

He might be enjoying it a little too much, accidentally laughing at some point when he sees their faces and laughing in the middle of his drink. Enough that he sputters some of the drink out of the bottle by accident. Oops.
]

[Action: Space Opera]

[But besides Gangland there is another place he wants to check out. Space Opera. Supposedly a vision of the future.

And wow is it a future he likes. He's in space. And there are flying cars and large flashing towers and more -- this is the future he has always envisioned. The kind where everything is achievable through technology, through human genius and living on another planet is even possible now.

...Too bad Howard doesn't know that this isn't what the future holds. But what do you expect from someone who lived in the forties and thought all of this would be a reality by the time of the 70s and if not the 70s then the early 2000's. He is a 1940's man at heart and his visions of a brighter tomorrow...well Space Opera is everything he ever wanted out of them.

Either way he's going to be rather dazed as he walks around, just sort of amazed at everything he sees. He may accidentally bump into your character as he does so, not really paying attention as he walks. Too busy looking up at the space-looking towers, y'know? Just try not to ruin it for him that no, the future is not actually Space Opera.

[Voice: After Space Opera and Gangland]

Ok, lets be honest - Gangland and Space Opera are the best places in this experiment. Do you disagree? Let me tell you why you're wrong.

Nile is too hot, Ice Age is too cold, and Japan land is too medieval. [He forgot the actual name ok, what kind of name is Sho-gun-ah-teh anyway?]

Gangland has the Roaring Twenties and Space Opera is the future. You're free to debate, but you know I have a point here.

[smug mode active, but really? He doesn't care for subtlety. This is the best experiment he has been forced into yet and he wants to know what everyone thinks. What better way than goading?]

[Action: Private for Tony and Pepper]

[So. He knows his future-son has a place here in Gangland. And frankly Howard does not want to go back to the damn Nile.

So.

It has come to this.

After his incursion in Space Opera, will be at the front door of their home and knock on it thrice. Who will answer...

Action;

[The day after the tornado clears and everything is relatively back to normal is the day Howard Stark arrives into the village. And he is not looking that great. He's wearing a dirtied suit and he looks weary and tired. And old. At least thirty years older.

He stumbles into the plaza area and immediately knows where he is. As if he never left. What in God's sake--
]

Hey, someone feel like lending me a hand here?! --Shit, I can't believe I'm back here.

[He shouts to no one in particular, but with the hopes someone will answer his angered call.]

Voice;

[And, later on after gathering his bearings, he'll get on the journal and use it. He hasn't seen it in a long time. Damn it all.]

You know that feeling when you think you've made it out of the hole and think nothing wrong can go from there? Well, that feeling should be ignored and kicked in the ass for making you think the road is clear.

[A sigh and then a short pause, before he goes on.]

How long has it been. Doing the math off the top my head...thirty years or so? Damn. Can't believe I forgot this place. It doesn't look like it's changed a lot. And yes it is in fact me, Howard Stark. The year's 1974 now.

...Is the booze still free? I may need it.

Filtered to Haruhi Suzumiya;

I'm guessing not much time has passed from your peerspective since we last spoke, but I'm still a man of my word. I'll get you that submarine. Already got plans on getting materials. Just a heads up.

[ooc: Howard has been aged up about 30 years into the future. Important to note: his Malnosso effect has both aged him up and given him implanted memories to make him think he went back home, rather than being kidnapped. Also backdated to Friday.]

Sunday, September 9th

[On Sunday, Howard returned to Luceti in the early morning from his mission. Close to 7am early to be exact, before the sun fully rises. He went home and immediately felt out of place. The events that transpired the weeks before he left were still fresh in his mind and they weren't going to go away. The only difference was that he felt much more prepared to take on the hurdle that was coming. Three weeks is a long time to think. Not as long as he would like, but good enough.

He leaves to start completing errands around noon. Going to the library to pick up books on MIR submarines, looking for knick-knacks in the item store (and making a huge mess while he's at it) and even doing something mundane as eating an apple outside in the plaza and looking carefully at everyone who passes by, no matter who they may be. It only takes up a few hours in the day unfortunately.

From then on he goes to the Battle Dome. Not to fight, but to create simulations. He's gotten a lot better at it thanks to practicing with the machines and is able to create more complex areas. While he works on the console, a book with detailed images of modern day New York City can be found in one hand while he programs with the other. And, in due time, he recreates 42nd street using the book as a guide. The bustling city can easily be viewed in the Observation area, as Howard enters his simulation and begins to wander around the one street. The city is also full with people programmed into the simulation - of course they never look at Howard and are only either walking, taking pictures without moving or talking to other still people.

Monday, September 10th

[On Monday Howard decides to pick up the journal for the first time in weeks. He has a couple things to say.]

This is Howard Stark with a request. I need people who can work as laborers to build a submarine. I already have the design and I'm working on getting the material, but I want a show of hands of who would be willing to help out. Construction should take place in October, barring any unforseen circumstances like experiment.

Also does anyone happen to have a ship or, just a stretch here, can swim underwater without needing to go up for air? I need to check the depth of the ocean and since we don't have any good equipment available here to do it automatically, I need a way to get a measurement.

Oh and one last thing - apples are great. I know that sounds like it came out of nowhere, but the ones here are delicious. I haven't eaten one since coming here and I regret it. You should really try to eat one a day at the least. Can't go wrong with them.

[...Well no that's not all he has to say. But the last part will be a locked transmission. Because he knows he can't stall it forever.]

[Locked to Tony Stark, 100%]

You and I have to talk. In person.

[Blurted out and quickly. Got to rip off that bandage fast.]

Written; Filtered away Tony Stark and Pepper Potts (Mid-Day)

So question. Have you ever wondered about the future outside of Luceti?

[...] Well actually that isn't the real question. I'm sure we've all thought about that at least once. Let me rephrase: do you think you'll do the same things other people said you'll do?

Like if someone said you were going to hike up a large mountain when you go back, do you really think you'll do that just as they say? Or that you will get back, change your mind for whatever reason, and go about doing something else. That your [...] destiny, I guess is a word for it, is undecided. [Even if he doesn't like how the word destiny sounds. It sounds concrete and unbendable.]

It's a weird question I know. I'm a little tipsy and feeling thoughtful so indulge me in this. [Ok that is actual a lie. He hasn't actually had a drink in the last 48 hours amazingly. He's been too riled up and not wanting to even touch the liquor cabinent. But not like anyone can know that so long as he's writing and not talking. He's not having a single drop until he gets this mess sorted out.]

[And, after that, he'll write up two filters. One for each person he wants to have some words with.]

Filtered to Steve Rogers; 100%

Hey Steve it's Howard. Are you at the apartment? I need to talk with you in person.

[Steve first. Because Steve is an honest guy and Howard knows he wouldn't lie if cornered. He'll arrange to meet with the next person later in the day.]

Filtered to Pepper Potts; 100%

Pepper, can I see you tonight?

[And it has to be tonight. He won't keep putting it off. Steve will be honest, but Pepper is the one who will likely have his answers.]

[The video clicks on and it's pretty obvious Howard is sitting in a chair outside of a Community Housing building (CH One to be exact). He also has a nice brown bottle of beer in this hand, just opened before he began the feed.]

Amazing how slowly time flies when you're working in the farmlands. I've been there for the past...three weeks I think? Feels so much longer than that. Anyway, I was fixing tractors and it was a real bore. At least planes are more interesting. Can't imagine how anyone lives outside of a city to be honest, but different strokes for different folk. Won't be doing it again for a while I think. Anyone want to tell me what I missed?

Oh, and another thing - anyone got plans for fireworks? I don't know how many of you even come from America, but Fourth of July is a pretty big thing back home. Lights in the sky, apple pie and of course America's favorite beverage.

[He says taking a sip of the beer. Yeah, what else did you think it was? He takes a big breath in and lets it out.

...Yeah just talking about it makes him feel a little homesick. Better stay on track and not get somber.
]

Do they even have fireworks here? I could probably rig them up myself if I can find some.

[OOC: Anyone who wants to Action it up if you want your character near Community Housing 1, feel free to go for it.

ALSO I should probably mention - tags may come at a very slow pace until Thursday evening. I have exams so I won't be around all day - I just wanted to get this up before I forgot.]

Voice (May 26th);

Okay nobody panic, because I already had a small freak out myself before I turned this on, but I'm in the body of Mr. Billionaire Superhero Engineer. My voice is different, I'm slightly older and I experienced what may be a slight panic attack at the realization that this isn't my body. There is also a powerful source of energy lodged into the center of my chest and it is not something I should have removed to look at. If you're out there listening to this Tony, I just want you to know I'm sorry for doing that and I assume I won't be dying since it's back in now. You're going to need to tell me about it later. [Mainly because this thing in his chest is definitely not palladium.]

I am not really feeling comfortable at this point because this is like the plot of a bad science-fiction movie, so if I come off as a little snappy don't mind that. Going to gather myself together and stay calm. This is a thing I suppose I need to become adjusted to, but I don't think I want to adjust to experimentation if it means being in another man's body. Lets hope this goes away as soon as possible. Until then someone do me a favor and help me calm down. Feeling a little light headed right now.

--Oh and the suit is nice. Really nice. Though the red and yellow looks a little flashy for my taste.

[He wants to use it, but he's pretty sure he would die in that thing so he'll just not touch it at all]

Action; (May 26th through May 28th)

[Okay being in the house was not helping Howard, not at all. He still feels unnerved and like a complete mess. So all three days he's stuck as Tony he will go to the battledome and start working on simulation programs. Work normally took his mind off problem situations and this is a huge problem for him.

But he is having difficulty with the technology for the first two days and seeing what isn't his body in front of his eyes working is still making him flinch every now and then. Good news is by May 28th he has gotten some small hang of the console. He also brings a small bottle of water and scotch in a flask with him on all three days, mostly preferring small sips of scotch every now and then.
]

[ooc: Howard is bodyswapped with Tony, so don't mind the icons. The same account will be replying.]
arcinvent: <user name="unification"> (pic#3392845)
Hm. Technology seems advance, can't tell from how many years in advance. Ahead of the current technology available back in the States and maybe elsewhere. The controls look simple enough...

[The voice is small and quiet, pondering as to what to do. Whoeever is speaking is very intrigued by the journal however.]

Okay, if I got this right then-- Aha!

[And then the sound heightens and the video turns on, showing a man looking into the camera with an accomplished, if not slightly awkward, grin. He's already fully dressed and from the look on his face it would be obvious that he's a new feather.]

That was easier than expected. Putting a recording device into a book is a pretty smart idea, I got to say. Can't think of an easier way to get the everyday man interested in picking up a book than to put something like this into it. It can even be useful for something outside of commercial purposes -- you got an entire integrated network on this thing. Really something else. Bravo to the folks who made this, I give you my praise. I'll have to take this back if possible, so sorry if this leaks out.

But, lets get down to business. I'm stuck here and this place sure isn't Kansas. Or New York for that matter. I don't normally go around looking for help, but I'll make a rare exception and let you strangers help me. And no "red scare" business either, because not even Soviets or any of the Axis Powers that matter would go to these lengths. Particularly with the...well, bird wings on my back now.

[He says particularly low. The idea of being a test subject does not sit well on his mind. What if he's stuck with these wings forever?]

If I can get those off that would be great because being a test experiment dumped in the middle of nowhere isn't my idea of a good time. Shouldn't be anyone's.

...Also any place I can get my hands on alcohol? I seem to be without my wallet and no that isn't a convienent excuse. Could probably use a couple of glasses to calm myself down.

How am I playing Howard Stark from MCU: Captain America First Avenger? Give your critique here and remember to keep it civil and polite. Examples of the areas I'm not doing well in always help and try to give tips on how I can improve. For the record, Howard comes from the end of the movie.
